The plaster, tile and coping were all replaced in a professional and orderly manner. No down time waiting for workers to complete other jobs, just consistent effort from Ricardo’s team. The quality was very good, and my wife and I are quite picky. We just finished our second project with Ricardo at a Dallas Cool Pools - another amazing experience! Our first project a couple of years ago was for redesigning and refinishing the pool that was already put in when we bought our house. Ricardo helped turn our boring kidney-shaped pool (thank you 1950s) into an oasis with a tanning ledge and built-in umbrella stand. He continued to follow up with us after this project to be sure we were happy - excellent customer service! And the customer service is why we went back... This time around we redesigned the patio around our pool. We had Ricardo pour all brand new concrete and put in a proper drainage system to get rid of the standing water we had before. He met us at the concrete design store to help us pick out a good stamp design - we went with a wood look. He also designed a beautiful covered patio so we can enjoy our beautiful backyard, even in the rain. Ricardo listened to all of our wants and was able to execute everything perfectly. He gave us ideas on things like gutter placement. He was always very responsive anytime we had a question. He kept us informed every step of the way and was on site regularly to be sure we stayed on scheduled. My favorite part - he took care of everything permit related with the city!! About 2 1/2 years ago we decided to take the plunge and get a pool/hot tub for our backyard. The process was ridiculous and stressful! Until that is we sat down with Ricardo from Dallas Cool Pools. What a refreshing experience to deal with someone not overselling you but also making sure you get what you want and need in your particular pool. Needless to say we went with Dallas Cool Pools and fast forward to today we could not be happier. The actual construction process is messy and really will upset the applecart but Ricardo made sure that each and every subcontractor treated our property as his own. All crews were very respectful and never seemed to be rushing to get through the job. We had an open line of communication with Ricardo through the entire process and trust me we wore him out with questions. But he was always professional and patient on each and every call. The most impressive thing to us is that even 2 1/2 years after we installed the pool the customer service we receive from Ricardo has not fallen off at all. We can call him with questions and he is still very prompt with getting back to us and making sure that our issues are resolved. He really cares about his customers and takes pride in the service he provides. They replaced our brick coping with travertine, our old Austin stone along the spa with ledger stone, and our old white plaster with Stonescape pebblestone. When the job was completed, they returned and power washed the entire deck area to remove all traces of the demo. Ricardo Rodriguez was very responsive and competitive with his proposal and bid, and he worked with us every step of the way to create exactly what we wanted. We had our 9' deep pool shallowed to 5.5' and replumbed, we replaced our concrete deck with travertine tiles, we built an outdoor fire feature, and we also built an outdoor grill area. It was a big job, with many moving parts, and Ricardo expertly coordinated it all to our great satisfaction. Ricardo has also been very responsive on follow-up tweaks and adjustments, as those are always expected on any remodel project. We highly recommend Dallas Cool Pools to those who are interested in a new or remodeled backyard project.
